GRAMOPHONEDZIE has been having a banner year, including being signed to a major record label. But the man refuses to sell out and keeps making chart topping underground House music, including his latest remix and future anthem, "In My House" on Blacksoul Music. Clean House has a "Look Around" with EDMUND, and label boss MR CLEAN reworks it along with WIL JAX and UNCLESOUND; "Spring Has Sprung" on JEFF SERVICE's Ficus Tree label, which offers up a sampler of tracks from CURDUROY MAVERICKS, FREAKY BEHAVIOUR, and PETER FRANKS; SLATER HOGAN & JOHN LARNER's "The Music Box" gets remixed from DIRWOOD, JAMIE D, HIGH MAINTENANCE for HuHu; the "Influences" of South America's HARD MIX! are featured on the latest Mercado Paralelo; the INLAND KNIGHTS remix MIGUEL MIGS' "Burnin Up" for Salted Music; still topping the deep house charts with 'Sing Song', Lo Kik takes it on a funky minimal tip with "Cuts and Loops" from ANDRE BASTOS & HANZO; it's too "Soon to Shine" from JAY WEST and his alter ego with CHRISTIAN MALLONI, THE CANDY DEALERS; their alter ego also appears on ANDY GRAMM's Gramma Rec, as they remix "Repeat It" along with TOVAR and DISOJACK; the "Twisted Minds" of JUICE OPERATOR get funky for their second EP on Gourmand; and past cuts from VERNON & DACOSTA, SPECIAL INTEREST, DJ MES, and ANDY KINK on Phobic get "Refried" from COMBINED, MIKKAEL, MATT POWELL and the SHORT BUS KIDS.

Soul Full
featured: artist. Reggie Dokes / label. Blackstone

It was a week Full of Soul, kicking off with two prime remixes from multiple award-winning producer from Spain DEEP JOSH--his rework of MUSTAFA's "Sal Salvador" for Stalwart, and followed up with his sweet remix of SIMON GREY & DAVE STORM's "Signs". KALERO is the latest talented up and coming producer to be signed to Marlon D's Underground Collective label, and he debuts with the "Makondo EP"; JAY TRIPWIRE tidied his bedroom and found a secret stash of "Things From Old DAT Tapes", which has an uncanny likeness to the spirit of house today; in anticipation of QUENTIN HARRIS' new album "Sacrifice", Strictly Rhythm release the Maxi-single featuring INAYA DAY, GEORGIA CEE and JASON WALKER; Fear of Flying drops "Priority", an exceptional deep house single from LEIF feat DONNA LEE, with ETHYL& FLORI and DAZE remixes; CESAR RAMIREZ gets RealDeep with "The Heartwork"; FRANCK ROGER takes it on an edgier tip for the "Same Old Game", his debut on the high profile tech house label Desolat; BANGANA release some "Unreleased Dubs" on Heya HiFi that never made it out until now; nearly a decade old itself, the "10 Years of Madhouse" compilation originally issued in 2001 hits the digital shelves for the first time; and Faces delivers the "Raw Cuts Vol 1" compilation featuring all of the Raw Cuts singles, and some bonus tracks from MCDE.

Tek
featured: artist. Andomat 3000 / label. Dance Mania

We've always been huge fans of Montreal's GUILLAUME & THE COUTU DUMONTS, whose productions and live sets have always have a danceable edge to them and is one of those artists that we always get excited for with each new single. His genius and approach to house music shines through on "Breaking the Fourth Wall", his second full length artist album, this time for Ark's Circus Company label. After last year’s massive '26 Miles EP', GAVIN HERLIHY is back on Cadenza, and he comes bearing some raw, unvarnished and insistent style of music with "Back Burner"; BASIC SOUL UNIT's hybrid, futuristic & rooted work of "Midnight Ridim" found its way to Room With A View; our local SF techno don, ALLAND BYALLO releases his first EP for Dirt Crew, "Eyes Closed Looking In"; Missive music welcomes Scottish producer Logan to the label stable with the release of "Westie", his stunning new single featuring a SEI A remix; "Greatest Tits" is the tenth record from the Wolf + Lamb camp and MAAYAN NIDAM, previously known as MISS FITZ, makes sure its one to remember; another female artist who has amassed a number of admirers, SHYZA MINELLLI s back with her first EP in nearly three years, "Ancient Blessing" on Tuning Spork; Phonica returns with their first release for the year 2010 with the second platter from homegrown talent HECTOR, "Orale", complete with two outstanding remixes from SIS and ALEX PICONE; and the pioneering techno label of 20 years that provided an outlet for legends like JEFF MILLS, ROBERT HOOD, JUAN ATKINS and a host of others , Tresor debuts digitally this week.
