With the last two EP's from CHUCK DANIELS' Sampled label still being charted, he drops another bomb on us with SOUL DE MARIN's "Cool It Down"; ATNARKO releases "Solid Ground" with the vocals of NICA BROOKE for Fred Everything's Lazy Days and also has a remix of JOSHUA IZ's fantastic "Alpha & Omega"; JAY WEST remixes "Useless Sax" on new label to Stompy Gramma Rec; Robsoul drop another "Sampler" which includes a reissue of WALLY CALLERIO's 'Chasing Snails'; TBF battles Sisqo on "Have Faith" for DJ Sneak's Leg Digital; DUBSATIVA & SAMUEL LAWRENCE team up for some dubby funk on "Last Night Connections"; Big Wheel give a jazzy "Good Plug" from OLIVERS & RIGGS; FREAKY BEHAVIOUR's "Behaviour Self" is released on Ficus Tree exclusive to Stompy; CHEMARS is on fire lately with hot release after hot release, and drops another heater, "Feelin Good" on Hub City; and MARK FARINA's Great Lakes Audio makes a triumphant return with "Geograffiti", six funky tracks that gives you a peek into the mind of the constantly traveling minstrel.

There were some beautiful Soul Full releases to keep your loved one in the mood this weekend....DEMARKUS LEWIS uses the distinct vocals of E-MAN for "Behind Closed Doors"; PHIL ASHER and JOSE CARRETAS remix RESTLESS SOUL's "And I Know It" for Seasons; originally released last year on vinyl, TRINIDADIAN DEEP's jazzy vibes of "The Offering" on Prescription sublabel Future Vision is now available for the digital DJ's; Tronicsole delivers "Natural High" with a FRANCOIS DUBOIS remix, and SEIJI uses his HOMECOOKIN alias for "Stay Away" on sister label Sole Music; two deep tracks on AZUNI's "Here You Come" for the esteemed Drumpoet Community; RALF GUM enlists the vocals of KAFELE for "Complicated" on his Gogo label; KARU, PHIL R, JOHNNY MONTANA & CRAIG STEWART all remix DIHANN MOORE's "Agape Love"; upcoming artist, SOUL MINORITY, proves you need to keep an eye on this young producer with his latest release "When Summers Gone" on Kolour; the one-man-band CHUCK LOVE kicks off his new label Love Network with "UR Everything" featuring the vocals of COLETE; and "Back Home" is one of the classic reissues from House music pioneer JOE SMOOTH.

The Tek sound is teeming with stellar releases on the Moody and Minimal front--brand new label TwoBirds debuts strong right out of the gate with "Hypotango" from RODRIGUEZ JR and a VINCENZO remix; JOHN SELWAY teams up with NYC compatriot TONY ROHR for the techno joint "Less Scary" on his CSM label; Climede introduces their sublabel Pamflet with "Franky Nassao" from the two young Italian artists ANDY ROX & BECOOLMAN; another driving influence from Italy, ANDREA CRESTANI, releases "Somelights/Flashback" for Young Odds; fresh off their 5 Year anniversary party which had a line around the block all night here in SF last weekend, the all-mighty Mothership drop "Stop Lying/Yo Amigee"; ANDOMAT 3000's "Happy Crappyness EP" on Highgrade contains four different sounds, each one of them excellent; the second release from the young label 120db, "Cafe Prague", is a hypnotic jazz-piano and Krupa-styled drum piece that makes you want to move; Bpitch Control and their stable of class producers, SASCHA FUNKE, MISS FITZ, THOMAS MULLER and BEN CLOCK, all remix "Immolate Yourself"; and after years of courting, we're overjoyed to add the fantastic Oslo, Cecille and Cecille Numbers labels to the Stompy shelves. Fantastic music on all--definitely make sure to add them all to your Label Picks.

Down-N-Out

Downtempo and Disco fun for the Down N Out folks this week.....SORCERER's "Chemise" on Tirk gets the remix treatment from MAX ESSA and TONY UNDERGROUND; "Que Nego E Esse" on Timewarp has a great QUINCY JOINTZ remix; LUSINE's "Twilight" is released on Ghostly International; old-school disco funk feel on "Coma Cat" from TENSNAKE on Permanent Vacation; more classics added from PAL JOEY's Cabaret label; and PLAYIN 4 THE CITY's "First EP" is another classic reissue on the downtempo tip from their Straight Up label.
