Big news today--we have just confirmed the one and only PEPE BRADOCK to grace San Francisco at our annual Stompy/Sunset Labor Day event!! We can't contain our excitement, and wouldn't want to anyways. Combined with our super secret special guest that we're keeping mum about, and also our Warehouse Party with Doc Martin in LA the night before, the Labor of Love weekend should be one of our finest! On THE FUNKy side of things--a Chicago legend, JOHNNY FIASCO is a House-hold name, and his "Defacto" album originally released on Cajual in 1997 was a standout album of the time, and its been digitally remastered and still has a timeless quality about it. Johnny also contributes a brand new remix to "Fresh" for Native Soul, who also enlists JONN HAWLEY and JANGATHA to give their interpretations; JEFF HAZE gets a little deeper for the Stompy-Exclusive "The Jeff Haze Experience" on 1200 Traxx; "La Pena 007" samples the dirty side of Pauline and someone in the Bushes for their latest EP; "Bug Brass" is another exclusive from Oomph from DJ Sneak's alter ego, SOSA; Juiced puts some meat on the grill with "Da Sizzle Sampler" which includes MIKE DIXON, J CAPRICE, MIKE FRUGALETTI and THANO VESSI; Serial Sickness is the latest label to host WATTIE GREEN's chart topping swing, with "Green in the Gills"; STACEY KIDD's "Yellorange Tribute" features two smashing hits from his releases on Tony Humphries versatile label from the past; and NONFICTION is "Outta Control" on Dufflebag, with DJ SNEAK and GENE FARRIS going wild on the remixes.
